From the opening frames, it appears the buck surprised the hunter before he could get the gun up to fire. He seemed to be trying to unsling it. The deer looks uninhibited. Never underestimate the damage a buck in heat can do it he thinks he has a rival. I would hate to be the surgeon who had to deal with this — if the hunter survived — since those hooves are knife-sharp.

I’ll bet the people at PETA love this one.
