MacBook

Ever since Apple released the MacBook, I’ve been on the fence about upgrading my iBook. I can still do a lot with it, but I can clearly see how the MacBook’s 2.0 Core Duo chip, Superdrive, 13.3 inch glossy screen, built-in iSight videocamera, extendable desktop, digital audio in/out, remote, integrated wireless, and fantastic design would be nice in China next year. Ultimately, I need to be able to rely on my computer as my main source of communication with the rest of the world … and the MacBook would really allow me to handle my photos and videochatting with style and ease. But I just wasn’t sure if it was worth the price.

Until now:

So with the educational discounts, Ohio educator tax exemption, and now another $200 back (from selling the nano on eBay, of course), it’d be illogical not to do it. Plus, I should be able to fetch a couple hundred on my iBook too … interested?

    oh, and i have a $50 apple gift certificate i have no way of using. would you be willing to “buy” it off me for $50 toward your purchase? with 2 house payments, right now the 50 bucks is worth more to me than the apple certificate…

    Ok … here are the specs:

    600 mHz 12″ iBook G3
    20GB hard drive, 640mb RAM (maxed out, upgraded from 128mb)
    Airport card (WiFi, 802.11b) installed (these are hard to find now)
    Combo drive (CD-R/RW, DVD-ROM) has some major issues (I may have an external to throw in)
    Mac OS 10.4.6 (the latest operating system)
    iLife ‘05 (iPhoto 5, iMovie HD 5, iTunes 6, etc)
    iWork ‘05 (Pages, Keynote)
    Microsoft Office X (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage)
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0
    VGA and RCA video adapters
    Extra 65W power adapter
    Logic board and keyboard have been replaced by Apple

    Let me know if you need anything else (software, peripherals, etc) … there’s a good chance that I can hook you up, depending what you need/want. I’d rather not deal with eBay this summer … so if you’re interested, just send an offer (or additional questions, etc) to:
