Top Fifteen List
One of my students, Grace, sent me an email entitled “What I Have Learned This Summer (so far)”. Here are my favorites:
- If you fill a Kroger’s bag with water, and jump on it – it explodes!
- Kids with down-syndrome are adorable
- Don’t mow over sticks
- There’s no such thing as “breakfast” during the summer
- Back flip on trampoline = bad idea
- If you’re bored, it’s fun sitting on the side of the road and waving at people
- Don’t juggle the soccer ball in your room
- Don’t poke your brother with a sizzling hotdog
- I like celery
- Writing on other people with chalk is fun
- Why read when you can be outside!?!
- Wheelies on scooters are hard
- Dogs named Riley like to chew up socks that belong to people named Grace
- Isaiah 40:31 is my favorite Bible verse
- Smoking mac n’ cheese is a bad sign

Learning not to poke your brother with a sizzling hot dog, wow that’s a no brainer. Unfortunately, not for Grace because that brother happened to be ME!
